Long Time Saturday, May 12, 2012

Wow!  It has been a while since I last wrote in here.  Where ever shall I begin?

Since April 3, I have been working at an immigration law firm in Reston.  It is another temp job that can last anywhere from two to six months.  Overall, the job is good, but as always, it has its bad days.

Last week I went to the Folger Shakespeare Library Theater with BIll and Edlin to see "Taming of the Shrew."  It was very well done.  They put a western spin on it, which I thought was very creative.  However, the Washington Post was not too fond of it.

My birthday was a lot of fun.  I brought cupcakes to work the Friday before.  It went over quite nicely.  On Saturday night, my parents and I went to Ruth's Chris for dinner.  Unfortunately, there was a couple with an infant at the next table over.  It was a bit of an annoyance for a good part of the night.  The kid wasn't misbehaving, but I think the parents made a huge mistake in bringing a child that young to a restaurant such as Ruth's Chris.

If I wasn't working, I would have the house to myself on Monday.  My mom is going to Philadelphia for my brother's graduation from UPenn and my dad will be in Houston for a meeting.  I miss having the house to myself.  Those days are slowly coming to an end.

We have recently moved my grandfather to another assisted living facility.  The first time I went to visit him, which just so happened to be the first night he was going to be living there, he gave both me and mom a hard time.  He was insistent that he was going to come back to our house for the night.  He hit my mom on the wrist, which was uncalled for.  He told me to shut up and to stay out of a conversation that he was having with my mom and I

I have been watching Downton Abbey, thanks to Bill.  It is a show that I have been curious about.  I never once thought that I would like it, but I absolutely love it.  Everything from the intertwining story lines to the set is phenomenal.

Anyways, I can't really think of anything else to write about at the moment.  I shall try to write again later.
