the assignment is to write a descriptive essay about a photograph... the hard part was choosing a picture, but since my last essay i wrote a narrative about joshua's birth i went with an anna picture for this one..... i think i will start putting my essay's on here just to get feedback lol... they usually are pretty short so it won't ever be too long i promise... so here goes:
Coloring Book The colors are so vivid like a child with their coloring book. It looks like she's trying to be a cow, she wants to chomp on the grass. The grass is as green as an emerald and is popping up all around her. A cuddly little baby just laying in a sea of grass that looks like it's waving goodbye. A sky so blue it is reminiscent of the endless ocean. Slight little wisps of white clouds in the sky behind the baby, like the white caps on waves as they roll onto the sand at a North Carolina beach. A cute little button nose is what she has. Besides that she is the spitting image of her father, tiny little ears and all. Her little dress is a bright yellow with a strap as thin as spaghetti. This little girl is so tired, could fall asleep just about anywhere right now, even in the grass that's prickly on her cheek. Off in the distance there is a random person. Don't know what their agenda would be, don't know who they are. They stick out like a sore thumb. Their shirt is a teal color that almost blends in if it weren't for the white shorts that POP in the upper left corner of this photograph. I love sleepy babies, I think babies are the cutest when their eyes are closed like Anna-Lee's are in this picture. So peaceful. She is 6 weeks old here, her name is Anna-Lee Lola. I promise she's not trying to eat the grass, she's a baby who has had a long day and she just want to emphasize that with a big yawn. I love sleepy babies, I think babies are the cutest when their eyes are closed like Anna-Lee's are in this picture. So peaceful.
