This is a story I wrote while being bored in English class. It has no meaning just an idea that popped into my head.
A lone rider sits atop a hill, his heart bursting for the one he loves. Everywhere he looks he sees her. The soft rush of her breath as the winds come in from the east; the sweet sound of her voice as the birds sing their morning tone; and the deep mysterious color of her eyes, as the waves crash against the rocks below. Everything around reminds him of his love. The one who got away. Deep down, he knew they could never be. Him; an outlaw, adventurer who calls no land a home; and her, a beauty, a diamond, a forbidden love. From the moment he saw her, he knew something was different about this one. The way she held her head, the way she presented herself, and the way she said,” Hello.” There was something about her he couldn’t quite place. Later at dinner he knew what it was. She was a princes, and heir to the throne. The moment he saw the crown upon her head, and her seated next to the queen, he knew. He knew he could never have her. One night as he was walking along the gardens, he saw her. She was seated beside the pond, and was currently feeding the fish. He tried to move away before she caught his eye, but it was too late. She motioned him over saying’ “I won’t bite.” That night they talked. They talked of the Crusades, their hobbies, and of previous loves. Over the next week, he had fallen in love with the untouchable maiden, even though he knew he never could. On his final night in the castle, he did the unimaginable. He confessed his love. Upon hearing this, she started to cry, saying she was to be married the following morning. His heart had broken at that moment. In the morning, he left, without a sound, without a note, and without his one true love.
