As a child I had beautiful white wings
Wings of purity, Wings of hope I grew and grew Awaiting the day that I could finally fly away Though, As I grew I saw the world for what it was A dark world, a harsh cruel world The world may have been cruel But I wasn't going to let that take my wings away Not until he pinned me down Ripped away my wings He pinned me down And took away everything from me My wings were torn away in his hands With his hard touch, his killing words I couldn't heal them I can never fly away I am bound to this world To walk forever with nothing more than a skeleton of what was once beauty
