Well this is my first entry and quite frankly I am making it just to see how this system works. But even though its about 6 months before I attempt my Alaskan journey, I may as well mention a couple things I am doing in preparation even now. I have applied for my "FOID" (firearms) license and am awaiting that at which time I will purchase my first shot gun lol look out! This of course is only for protection while camping. I have all the paperwork to transport my gun through Canada coming and of course as of this year we need a passport for Canada, so thats in the process as well.

My camping and fishing gear will all be in check as I plan on tenting as much as possible to keep costs down. I also imagine thats when there should be some interesting entries..running from bears and moose always make for enjoyment. As promised, I will keep entries pretty short as not to bore people who may be reading this. I will try to find a way to host pictures here if possible. Once again I will spend tonight, New years eve by my sisters and brother in laws as New Years has more recently become too crazy and violent to enjoy these days. this is also the first New years Lauren will not be with us, she has a party to go to .. oh well, guess I should expect more of that.
