There are some qualities of human life that have been squeezed out and forgotten by the ever-growing 'more, more' culture we find ourselves in. Here I want to identify them and find ways I can rediscover them in my own life.
Commitment
With Western society as it is, persuading and enticing us to move on from one thing to the next with promises that 'this latest one will be all you ever need'. we are forgetting how to find true fulfilment by developing our relationships and attachments to those things we choose in life. For me, commitment will manifest mainly in my relationship with Amanda. I am often tempted to flirt and push the boundries with other girls, even though I know that they will not offer any more then I already have in my girlfriend. I would never cheat, but doing so would bring only short-term pleasure that would fade quickly. A quintessential example of the temptation to ditch what one has and move on to the next new thing.

Living the present
Notice the world you're in. If you find yourself hurried or distracted, you have caught yourself missing the moment. Stop for a minute, focus on your breathing. Notice the things around you. Notice what each of your senses is perceiving. Return to the present and be fully in the moment.
