DePhoMo? Nuh uh...*Pics* Thursday, December 02, 2010

No I'm not going to get into doing the DePhoMo thang. I'm just not into trying to take a photo everyday, even with a prompt, especially since I'm asleep for most of the daylight hours and I work at night. It doesn't make for very interesting photos, sorry.

Instead I'm just going to post a couple that I took this morning because I thought this was a site that most don't see very often unless they're up at the break of dawn and actually awake enough to look up in the sky. I'm always looking around and noticing things that most people just are too busy in their everyday lives to realize are there.

Take for instance this morning. Who among you that were awake, looked up to see a very bright Venus next to a crescent Moon as the Sun began to light up the sky? I was lucky (?) enough to be heading down to the laundry room to once again discover the joys of washing when a plane on its way to LAX passed overhead.  My eyes went from the plane to  the Moon then to Venus. I was amazed at how bright Venus was and thought it would make a decent composition with the Moon next to it.

So in case you were still asleep or just in your usual morning stupor, here's what you missed with this mornings sunrise.

A close up view...
