|Life After Weight Loss Surgery|
So I spent ALL morning at the hospital getting my pre-op stuff together.
First I went into the waiting room and waited and waited.
Finally, I was called back to the lab to have my blood work done.
There, I waited some more and filled out the SAME paperwork I did a week ago.
I was called back where I answered a ton of questions and signed a bunch of papers.
Then the EKG people came in and the girl looked at me and said, "You look familiar." I informed her that I had been there a week earlier for my pre-op for my IVC filter placement. She said I didn't need another one then.
Next, I went out to get my blood drawn and while I was waiting on the nurse, a respitory technician came in and taught me how to use a spirometer. I already knew, I had used them before for my bronchitis, but hospital policy said I had to be shown again anyway.
After that, the nurse finally came over and took my blood. She took a LOT too. Eight viles.
Then I headed to X-Ray where I waited some more.
I got called back and had my chest X-Ray done.
Finally, I got to go home.
I already took my antibiotics at 2:00 and I am due to take them again at 6:00 and 10:00. I start my bowl prep in about 15 minutes. I am SO not looking forward to that.
Tomorrow is the BIG day! Because I will be in the hospital for a few days I won't be updating.
Thanks for all the support!!!
