I finished the second of my nine paintings on Tuesday night and Shannon picked me up Wednesday morning to help me transport both to the office - they wouldn't fit in my car, as each is 36 x 60". I could put them in the trunk, without closing it, or on the roof of my car, but 12 miles like that on I-25 just does not seem like a good idea to me. The theme for the first conference room was, simply enough, dogs. So, since I had done an older dog for the first one, I decided to do a young kid and a more lively dog. I also love bull dogs and think they always get a bad rap - like pits and rottis - so I decided to go with one of those. I think I definitely need more work on people - I find animals much easier to do - but they asked for kids along with the animals, so I'll keep pushing myself.
"Dog's best friend"
Here they both are, hanging up. They are replacing that lame table and are supposedly making this more of a lounge/creative suite type of space, with low-profile chairs and a low coffee table(s). I'll post again when they're done with that, but for now I'm pretty pleased. I am hoping to get a couple more done this weekend. I have a feeling December is going to be a very full month for me. Not that that's a bad thing.
