Today I didn't do much. I had to work in the evening and had some phone calls to catch up on. I did laundry and called dad and did some stuff online and then went to work. That was about it I believe.

Work was fine. I met a couple of new people and then was put to work. I was told that it could either be really busy since it was a holiday, or really slow since it was a Monday. It was okay and then we had a rush. I am still really new so I think I screwed a couple things up, but not too bad and people said I was okay at the end. One of the people I was working with was fresh out of culinary school for his certificate so he was able to help me out a bit, but he was also not talked well of by the owner since he is a bit slow.

In the end, I discovered that the boss pays in cash and doesn't particularly have a schedule. It is more short notice and random scheduling and then at the end of the week, he gives you cash. Very sketch. It sounds pretty much like we could either screw him or he could screw us but in the end we are both screwing the government. Since I am not going to be working too much, I would rather have the paperwork and pay taxes. He seemed to think that was fine and he would just let his accountant know, but I have a feeling he won't end up doing it that way. I'm okay with just cash, but I tend to spend it a lot quicker. It would be nice to get paid every week though. I'm not sure how I feel about this, but it's temporary until I find a better job.
