I would like to share the story of my friend Grace and her granny; her grandma asked her seriously, “why is it that you and your sister have nice teeth already, do you wear bracelets? Grace asked her granny, what do you mean bracelets grandma? Her grandma replied, “The one that dentist put into mouth with a steel and rubber to make the teeth look nice and in proper position.” Then Grace said with a smile, “Oh! Braces! That’s not a bracelet grandma it’s a braces!” It’s a simple conversation but makes them happy and both of them laugh out loud. I have read that “humor effects include relief from anxiety, stress, and tension, an escape from reality, and a means of tolerating difficult life situations. Physically, laughter increases muscle activity, breathing rate, heart rate, and release of brain chemicals.”
