| A Beautiful Mess |

Today has been very eventful. I woke up at 5:30 absolutely starving. I woke up, went to the bathroom, and ate breakfast. When I sat down to eat, I felt my underwear was wet. I checked and there was mucous and water on my underwear. I called my mom first. She said I might have just lost my mucous plug. Then I called my mother-in-law who is a nurse in the NICU in the hospital I am delivering at. She told me to call my doctor when his office opens and to just relax and go to work. I woke up Andrew because I felt more coming out. I showed him and he jumped out of bed. He was nervously asking, "What do we do? What do we do?" I changed and told him I was going to work and calling my doctor at 9. Then I felt more coming out. I called my MIL again and she said to call him immediately because I might be leaking amniotic fluid. (I was also having braxton hicks contractions all weekend - very mild). My doctor told me to go to the hospital. At the hospital they did an internal dye check. There was no fluid. I wasn't having contractions. The sonogram showed that I didn't lose any fluid. My doctor wanted to see me when he got into his office. He told me that I probably just peed myself. IDK though...I usually could feel when I pee myself. He told me not to worry. I stayed home from work today. I was supposed to have a doctor's appointment on Wednesday, but instead he did what he had to do today. I had to do my state mandated HIV test, weigh in, blood pressure, and a culture. I only gained 0.5 pounds since my last visit. So technically in one month I only gained 0.5 pounds. I found out a few things about Lily today. 1) She is definitely a girl. So my thoughts and my mom's dream about her being a boy is not giong to happen. 2) SHE HAS A LOT OF HAIR!!! So that is why I had all that heartburn. Call me crazy but after that experience I really can't wait to have her. I was surprised at how calm and collected I was. Andrew was adorable because he is usually calm and knows exactly what to do, but he was so nervous. I told him this is a test run because we were not prepared at all. We had no gas in our car - the gauge was on E. I didn't have my ipod ready with my delivery room playlist. Also, my phone was not charged at all. Only 33 more days! I still say she is coming early. Oh, Ravens won yesterday. We are only one game away from being Superbowl bound!!!! My premonition might just come true. :D
