Is makeup bad for the eyes? Friday, March 02, 2012

To all the girls out there whoare so beautiful and still wear make-up: please stop, it’s bad for your health! This is a very serious problem! I guess all of you started to use a little bit of everything until one day your whole face was full of make-up. Some of you might like the new you, with all that black eyeliner and eyeshadow and lipstick on, but have you ever considered the damage you might cause to your skin?
I heard that some girls share make-up items,  like mascara, eyeliner or lipstick. This is a very bad habit! What if one of you had a disease or some strange infection? Also, it is totally not hygienic. You may both share the same disease, which, left untreated, will only lead to worse things and lots of complications. Also, you have to be very careful with the make-up tools you use. Make-up brushes must be washed, cleaned and disinfected after every use and then carefully dried before starting a new make-up.
Another problem with all the things that you put on your face daily is the expiration date. When you buy a product, open your eyes and look carefully at the expiration date. The expired products will most likely inflict seriously damage to your eyes and face, damage that might not be fixed. You might get an allergic reaction, irritation, itching, a red face or red eyes.
In order to be nice and safe, you have to be careful what products you choose. You might also want to check out stores that sell natural make-up. This means that they are made from plants and natural derivatives obtained from natural ingredients. They will help you obtain a nice, natural andmost importantly healthy make-up.
Pembroke Pines eye doctor does however recommend women to wear make-up during winter and the cold season to protect the delicate skin of the face and eyes from the cold weather and wind. Also, in hot weather it is recommended to use products with high sun protection.

If you switch to this type of healthy make-up (without exaggeration) and also wear a pair of glasses with polarized lenses, you will be protected from all the possible environmental damage.

First of all, you must take care of your eyes! Eyes are the most sensitive organs on your body and so if you wear any makeup at all, you have to make sure that the make-up you use is natural an well formulated – with ingredients that don’t affect the eye.

The most dangerous of all make-up item is the eyeliner. Many women use it to give eyes a nice color and a fine contour, but think about the risks involved for your eyes. The membrane of the eyeis so sensitive and you can easily irritate it with synthetic chemicals and dyes. Also, the liner can irritate the eye or transfer germs and bacteria, which in tern can cause other severe eye diseases.
I guess the worst eye disease you might get is conjunctivitis, also known as the red eye disease. Itsfist symptoms are the increased redness of the eye. Then you will feel the itching and discomfort and excessive tearing. Conjunctivitis can be easily treated if discovered early: some eye drops and eye creams can solve the problem and everything will be like it was before.
Be careful though: if not treated properly (and early), conjunctivitis can lead to blindnes!
