In the Darkness

A shadow of darkness

Has come over me.

I have lost the light,

So I can no longer see.

In the distance there are voices,

Screams of horror and fright.

They are coming closer to me,

As day becomes forever night.

I wander on an aimless math,

I seem to have lost my way.

I don't know where I am going,

Or how long I am going to stay.

Hope has seemed to vanish,

As I stumble on the ground.

I try to cry out for help,

But I cannot make a sound.

I wander in this empty place,

So terrified and alone.

I feel I'm already forgotten,

And will forever remain unknown.

But then I see an angel,

He calls to the light.

Hand in hand me guides me,

As I say good bye to night.
