Dictionary phrases, Mind boggling sentences, Rhyming synonyms, Misplacing acronyms....
Words....
Mere words that stick to the roof of my mouth Like creamy Peanut Butter on a hot day.
Words....
Letters forming sounds from lips that are too Torn to remember where the emotion came from, And let it roll off the tip of my tongue.
A language that doesn't even bare the burden Against my shattered pride and empty soul, Where lines and ink stains remain, To remind me - remind me of silence.
Words are noise, from your vocal cords To my own, screaming out in a wrath of hurtful Intentions, while cramming hand gestures down Each others throats.
Words....
Words are as useful as an open toe shoe Waiting to get stubbed or waiting to get scrapped Then bandaged up for a moment, then it Heals, only to be reopened when the lesson Wasn’t learned the first go around.
What is it that I should say? What have I not said? Is there anything left here in my mind? That rings out like a symphony? How is it that these words only come? When I ask them not to?
Words....
Standing alone, grouped together, meshed letters In lines of metaphorical tones that NO ONE can understand But you, and maybe, just maybe, someone.....
Somewhere.....
Is listening not to the voice raising the syllables And creating tension....
But to the language of the body speaking Through sweat, tears, and pouring out Of nothing, The something....
Left behind the wall of sadness....
Wanting to escape the madness.....
Words.....
Echoes of a time when you said what you feel And felt what you said....
YET......
Without emotion, you cannot create words....
Without emotion, you cannot create lines,
Without EMOTION, you cannot see What lies beneath the breath of what whispers Into the void Of my mind....
For there, is where all the words I don't say....
Remains....
For another day....
