It never fails to infurate me how some users think the system works some times
Today I dealt with a call from a customer who had reported that all of their junk email folder had been emptied. This was because policy and configuration was such that any junk email older than 30 days is automatically deleted.
The user protested. Claimed that there was a very important email in there that they were referring to.
Why oh why did you not move it to your inbox Mr User?
Oh because I was too busy. Restore it please.
Words stuttered out of me. If you store something next to a trash bin, it will be picked up by garbage collection.
I think I managed to make the user go away grumbling but there we go.
