To start a new diary, go to the front page at Open Diary and click the Start a New Diary link.
Before starting a new diary, please be sure to review The Rules of the site. It is important that all diarists on our site respect the Rules, and respect other members of the community. Diarists who do not follow the Rules may be removed from the site.
The Start a New Diary screen allows you to choose your new user name and the password for your diary. This is what you will use to unlock your diary in the future, so choose a name and password that you can remember.
Your name can be up to twenty characters long, and may contain letters, numbers, and punctuation. Your password must be between four and eight characters long. Enter your name, and then type your password twice to confirm it.
To save your new name and password, click the Continue button.
Your user name must be unique on Open Diary, so if the name you chose is already being used by somebody else you will see an error message. You can click the button on the error to return to the name and password screen to select a different name.
If your new user name and password are accepted, you will continue to the Personal Profile screen.
