Welcome to Open Diary! We hope that you find this to be a comfortable online home.

There are only three things required to start a new diary: a user name, password, and a valid e-mail address. Please enter these below to start your new diary.

User Name

Select a name that will identify you to the other people on the site. You may use your real name, or make one up, but don't use the real name of another person. Your name may be up to twenty characters long.

Your password must be at least eight characters, and can be up to thirty characters. The password is case-sensitive, so pay attention to lower and uppercase, please!

E-Mail Address - Verification required

Your e-mail address is required. If you ever forget your login name or password, the e-mail address will be needed to retrieve them. Be assured that your e-mail address will never be sold or shared with anyone outside of Open Diary.

A verification email will also be sent to this address and you will not be able to create a diary without it.

Please note: diaries created for selling or promoting products or services (spam) are prohibited on this site. Also, diaries that violate the Rules of the site will be deleted.

Also, if you are under the age of 13, it is against our Rules (and several state laws) for you to join Open Diary. If your birthday is after 2/8/1999, please leave now - your diary will be deleted if you start one.

Password Hints

Use a combination of letters and numbers in your password, and also a combination of lower and uppercase letters.

Do not use your name or the name of a relative, pet, friend, partner, etc. for your password.

Do not use your user name or anything like it for your password.

Do not use a word that can be found in a dictionary for your password - there are easy ways to break this.
