Theme of the Week

This week's topic is:

What was the first job you ever had? What did it teach you?

Writing an entry for the Theme of the Week is easy! First, write an entry in your diary like you normally would. Make sure that the entry follows the theme - entries that do not follow the theme will have to be removed.

After you have your entry in your diary, come to this page and click the "submit a theme entry" link above. If you don't see the "Submit an Entry" link, it is because your diary is not unlocked - you must first unlock your own diary before submitting a theme entry. After you click "submit a theme entry", the next screen will show you a list of your most recent diary entries. Select the one that is the theme entry and click "Submit" - that's it!

The theme will be changed once a week. If you have a suggestion for a future theme, please feel free to post it on the OD Boards Theme Suggestions thread.

What was the first job you ever had? What did it teach you? I saw another entry where someone expanded and wrote about all of their jobs, I think I might like to do that too. 1. First job was in a "fish and chip shop". For those who don't know what that is, it's a corner store that sells fried fish, chips, hamburgers. Most have basic groceries, fresh milk and bread. I was 13 and...

Theme of the week-My first job
My first real job other than babysitting was in a mall food court at a place called Potatoes Plus. You have probably gathered from the name that we had potatoes. Our main "attraction" you might call it was baked potatoes. We had broccoli and cheese, Chili, bacon bits, and much more to top your potato with. We also served cheese and chili fries, and other frozen potato meals. We...

Theme of the Week: My first job.
My first job ever was at McDonalds like many many teens. I was 16. I only got the job to pay for this prom dress.  It was $450 and my mother said she was not going to. My dad on the other hand said he would since I was spoiled. Well for some reason I was still mad that my mother said no and I was going to prove to them I could do it myself. I didn't need their money. So...

What was the first job you ever had? What did it teach you? Well first real job was a day care worker.   It was very little hrs except if someone was sick.   I hated the job.  Not because of the children ( I like kids) but because of my coworkers at that time treated me like I was an idiot.  It taught me how to deal with difficult people and...

The cake didn't kill anyone! Apparently it tastes good, I can't really tell the difference- cake is cake to me. I'm getting requests for birthday cakes now, haha. Aimée and I are going to go into business as bakers if this television and advertising malarky falls through... Well, we're going to start baking together anyway, I thought Aimée was transferring to a different uni to do...
