Theme of the Week: What Makes You Beautiful
Wow. I can’t believe I’m doing one of these. It feels like I haven’t in a long time. (Probably because I haven’t!)
What makes you beautiful is loving yourself, and others. A person who generally is down on themselves is going to be down on others. They feel intimidated by people who they feel are better than they are.
The truth is, there is a lot of comparison that goes on around everywhere. "Her dress is better than mine!" or "Oh your shoes suck, you can’t hang with us!" (My brother had his shoes stolen by a bunch of idiots back in school because they weren’t from Foot Locker. -eyeroll-)
A beautiful person tries to be kind to everyone around them. It doesn’t have to be a huge act. Holding the door open, or reaching a high shelf for someone. Little acts of generosity go along way to make someone beautiful. I’m talking about inner beauty here, boys and girls.
They are also kind to themselves. They accept who they are, and believe in what they can accomplish. A lot of people have problems with this, and I am one of them. So I try to compensate by helping others. I feel like I can do things I may not have been able to believe in before, but I still struggle with it on some days.
Keep trying to be beautiful in as many ways as possible, and you’ll find yourself a much happier, and healthier person.

I’d love to trade stories. 🙂 I added you to my bookmarks/friends list. I definitely agree that a beautiful person is kind to his or herself, but that seems to be the most difficult for a lot of people. I think I’ve finally reached that point, but it took quite some time. I’ve never had trouble being nice to others though. 😀
