Waving !
This entry is coming to you from the library computers…yes, we STILL have no DSL connection. Monday is the day the connection is supposed to be made. Since this is the FOURTH date we have been given, you will excuse me if I do a massive eyeroll!
I am endeavoring to be positive about this. When I go down to the library, it counts as a short walk.
In other moving news, we MAY be going out furniture shopping today–well, furniture looking, anyway. The only boxes that need to be unpacked are videos and a few books I think, Oh, and the stuff that will go on Fred’s new computer desk when he gets around to looking for it..
We are having absolutely fantastic weather. The sun is shining and has been for the past few days and the temperature and humidity are low. Tomorrow it is supposed to rain all day but today is wonderful. I ate my morning toast on the deck this morning and even though the sun was on me, I eventually had to go in and get a light jacket.
Now I am off to read a few favorotes…
Until later….
Well I sure do hope you ask for some compensation for the bull shit. I got 3 free months of DSL when they did that to me. It cant hurt to ask. Oh and Im surprised that they didnt give you complimentary dial-up. You should ask them about that as well.

Poor Patricia! (huggles)

I agree with silly sandee You need to be compensated for all the time they have taken. 3 free months sounds good to me.

Hope your DSL arrives soon. Good luck with the furniture shopping.

I hope they come through this time. 🙂

I certainly hope they wave the installation fee for all the trouble they have put you through. I’m glad the weather there is good! Hope they don’t changes the date again. <3 Annie-Rae

🙂 oh that lovely weather. Here it is very British and you never know when summer warmth may become winter deluge. I thought it was third time lucky? Oh well, may it be the fourth.
Warning Comment
Here’s hoping that the DSL gods will smile upon you this time, and may you get an installation technician who knows what the heck he’s doing! I agree with Sandee — grouse a litte and see if they will cough up some freebies.

Complain! Remember the old saying, “The squeaky wheel gets the grease!” It’s still much, much too hot here in KY (90’s), but I am looking forward to the cooler fall temperatures.

Hope you get your DSL on your FOURTH date at the latest! 🙂 Hope you spot what you need when you go furniture hunting.

That’s a good point the first noter made – ask them for some free time for their mistake & inconvenience – I remember we did that with Tiscali when they cocked up our contract as well. You have more patience that I would have – I don’t think I’d be able to be civil to them by now!

Found you through another diary…hope you don’t mind if I stick around and read for a while! 🙂

Mmmmm, I love late summer in VT!!!! I can close my eyes and see it! Hope all goes well on Monday, but I won’t say it too loudly. My luck lately has not been so good! Love to you! ~M

I do hope that the fourth time is the charm for you two.

*huggs* hoping your dsl gets put in on Monday post-haste, I miss you!

Yeah, that’s a long time for no DSL. My cell phone’s Verizon–is it an evil company? I like the Spic n Span tip. Are you going to Italy? Or do you just love the language? Vermont–a beautiful state.
Warning Comment
glad that things are moving along. Now if you only get that darn DSL installed!

ugh! massive eyeroll is well deserved. how frustrating.

ryn: give you a great big pat on the back too… as well as my undying appreciation for raising such a thoughtful guy:) And, I shake my fist at Verizon. Your wait time is ridiculous. I hope they get it taken care of soon.
Warning Comment
Yes, your noter is right! Demand some free time from DSL. My daughter has found this kind of thing works beautifully, and they owe you. What nonsense they have put you through. But you sound really happy in this entry. You have survived the move. Now, lets get DSL hooked up & you can get on with it! Anna

Hi, (waving and enthusiastic greeting) I found your Fred and have been peeking in on your lives. Hope you don’t mind. Thought I’d introduce myself and say hello to you too. I love his descriptions of Vermont, I’m a New England transplant and miss the beautiful countryside. Take care and be well, stop by and say hi anytime. :>)
