current bodyweight: 157.2 lbs (no change)

I was kind of tired this morning, but I still wanted to lift. Culmulative fatigue, that’s all. I was busy yesterday; as suspected, I am not in the mood AT ALL to get up early tomorrow. So I won’t, as it’s a rest day. I’ll try to get to bed early and get a full nine hours.

Much progress. I hate straining and straining for press reps – they came rather easily today. Got my negatives in the rep range. The quicker I can get eccentric failure beyond 12 reps, the sooner I can add weight.

Almost didn’t make 5 in the first set of dips. Hovered for a few seconds, but kept with it and locked out. I’m getting a good sense of how to do shrugs now, as I’ve never really done them before. Holding the concentric, and being sure to get a full stretch at the bottom of the eccentric. Sit-ups made me feel like, “Why am I putting this weight on my chest?” I’ll keep pushing, don’t worry.

Going at a good clip, I was done in 50 minutes, after stretching. I was early enough to campus to pass by Colleen in the parking lot. We all have our own cycles. I ate before class, then after my three classes. I have some granola on me just to keep my stomach from grumbling. I have some homework to do, then I have a double-period class. I’ll try to make myself pass out ASAP when I get home.

Adjustments: Bump cable row weight to 62.5. B-o row reps don’t come easily, so I’ll just have to put more effort into it. I’m banking on the much-needed double rest days to give me some growth, even for just one or two reps. I’ll try to get my pull-up negative reps up towards 12. It’s tiring! Dips seem to be a matter of just not giving up. I’ll do the best I can, if I can do 3×8 by the end of this phase, I’ll be happy.
