Off-line

My computer is having some problem that will not allow it to "see" my cable modem. The cable people say it is my machine’s fault, but it WILL NOT run the recovery disk. I called HP (on my cell phone grrr) and they want 69 bucks for half an hour of tech support….with no guarantee that will fix the problem.

I am at a cyber-cafe. It is 1:30 am. I have no idea when I will check in again, which is one f-ing drag, lemme tell ya.

I spent a good part of the day attempting to work with the computer. Blacky cat has been hiding most of the day. Perhaps it’s not clear that I’m yelling at and cursing the computer, not him….poor cat.

Poor me too. Now I see how much of my life is involved with getting on-line.

Man…this sucks hugely. I hope your computer problems are resolved quickly. What happened…was it working one day and not another?

Sorry NWC. I’d help if I could. When I have trouble, the only thing I know to do is run the RECOVERY program. If I can’t run it, I have to call my repair guru. I have to think twice before doing that because he charges by the hour. So good luck, old boy.

I know exactly how that feels. I get really aggravated if I can’t get online for a few hours every morning. That’s just my routine and my “feel good” time and if it is suddenly taken from me – I get very upset! It’s like something is just missing from life. I hope that you can correct this problem and be back with us soon. I know that is very frustrating for you! (And for the poor cat!)
