My foot

If I had to break a bone in my foot, I not only broke the "right one" but broke it in the right place.  I have to stay off it as much as I can, but I can go back to work on Monday.

I was given a "boot" to wear to support my foot solidly, but the doctor also approved the Nike shoes I was wearing too.  Last year, an ODer got a hold of me here and we had a "relationship"- not really lovers, but more than "friends" – together for a few months.  One of the gifts she gave me were these Nike Air-Pegasus  shoes.

I liked her, but she was sorting out her life. (she was/is married) and I have to assume that she left the relationship with me to re-focus her attention on her family.  (I haven’t heard from her, really, but on her birthday a few weeks ago, I did send a happy birthday e-mail note which she thanked me for in reply)

Ahh, but the important point is that the shoes she gave me last year, while getting worn out, are still good shoes for supporting my foot, and the podiatrist "aproved" them for my wear. (and, interestingly, added them to his list of approved shoes for other patients)

I just talked to the boss, who is probably as excited as I am that this won’t be a long ordeal.  I’m to take it easy for now, the doc said, but I can go back to work on Monday, if I take it easy and don’t put much weight on my right foot.  Apparently, it was a good sign that driving -operating the brake and the accelerator doesn’t hurt me.

Just a short note to say how it’s working out-

and to say:

It could be worse.

You worked it out by staying focused, active and positive. I think that’s the best sign of all. I’m glad to hear that you broke the “right” bone if you had to break one, and that you have time to reflect and maybe plan some new directions for yourself.

Hope you heal swiftly!Blessings and Love,

Wonderful news. I have the same shoes (for chicks) and they’re so comfy. On that note, I had a dream about you last night! You looked so different – balding and black hair and a bit shorter. You said no one could drive your van so I offered and then later I realised your van was a manual (not sure if it is or not) and that I can’t drive a manual and you said you couldn’t really trust anyone else

and even though I promised to ring around you said you could trust me. Eventually Jonny ended up being able to do it for you. Weird much? *hugs* Take it easy 😀
