I-5 in Oregon ss

<<< the previous slideshow is of Hwy 58 in the Mojave Desert in Southern California.

Between Bakersfield, California, and the Sisikou summit between California and Oregon is about 600 miles.  The good light for photos out of my car windows stopped by the time I got to Bakersfield, and I didn’t have a tripod… and wouldn’t have stopped if I did.  I got into the Driving Mode and just. kept. going.  By the time I drove out of Cali, the light was back, but Sisikou Summit was packed snow, and I didn’t want to take a hand off the wheel for pics, and so they start after Grants Pass:

From the California border on the south to the Washington border on the north, Interstate 5 runs 307 miles.  These pics are taken in southern Oregon; the next slideshow is of the road in the central Willamette Valley.

Stay tuned.

Your mountains look a lot like TN mountains except you have more conifers.
