a quick tease

 

It’s a new morning in America; we shall see what happens now.

I have to run some errands, so this is a very quick teaser from my trip to the Gorge yesterday.  We went to Bridal Veil Falls:

It wasn’t especially cold there… but cold enough to discourage a long stay.

On hot summer days, the mist from the falls is welcome; yesterday, it wasn’t.

Still beautiful though!

After Bridal Veil, we wandered over to Multnomah falls, not far down the road for hot drinks.

It wasn’t as icy here as I have seen it sometimes, but it was icy enough so that I slipped and fell on my ass near the bridge, seen here.  One of my companions looked at the high heels one vistor was wearing and said "people should read and speak English if they come here, then they’d know it was icy".  After he helped me get up off the ice, I said "well, I do read English and ya know, it didn’t help me at all not to fall"
