breaking records set in the 40’s ss

Offically, we hit 106 yesterday, one degree short of the all time record for heat here – 107 degrees.  Our run of plus 100 days sets a record previously set in the 1940’s.  Last winter, we also broke weather records set in the 40’s:

this is my neighborhod in December 08

within reason, I guess I’d rather be hot than cold… to a point, anyway.

It’s less than 100 so far….

swimming here is maybe not the relief you’d think on a hundred degree day…

Those pictures make me want snow more and more! I am very glad that today isn’t as hot has it has been, I don’t know how I would survive another 107 day!

my car, however, said it was 108 here, and Milwaukie, right over there, hit 109. Enough!

Yeah, I heard that it got a tad hot up there yesterday. I’m not sure what the temp was here in Austin……but probably was 104…..maybe 105. But it is amazing that you guys are having that kind of temp up there.

I even heard it was 110 in some areas of Portland. I stayed inside most of the day, near the fan. On Tuesday, I got pretty overheated because I was driving around a lot, but I’m glad I didn’t have to go anywhere yesterday.

I LOVE the bridge picture. If you go to my diary, I put up an entry just for you and all the others who are suffering in your heat. And I won’t tell you that it’s in the 60s here with rain. I have goose bumps!

snow is only fun if you get to go out and play in it. It’s raining cats and dogs here right now, maybe got to almost 80 today. Please don’t melt cat!
