What was I taking a picture of?
This:

It looked like, as the tide flowed in and out, that this would be A VERY BAD PLACE to pull your boat in, and if you were swimming, you wouldn’t be for very long.

The beaches here see a lot of debris of all kinds wash up. Although you might not think so, a lot of people get hurt – even killed, trying to walk on tree trunks washed ashore – the logs roll and are merciless as they break bones or trap kids (and adults too) under them:

It’s scary easy to twist your ankle…
