change of plans?

 Maybe it woulda been better if that solar eclipse WAS today, like I woke up thinking.

Looks like our dry streak is ending, with a new storm coming in off the Pacific tomorrow evening.

Right around eclipse time.

Clouds = no visible sun/sky/reason for going to the coast.

I could go east, over the Cascades and into their rain shadow.  I’m thinking that there is a good rest area/state park at Crooked River Gorge, on US 26 this side of Madras – about the same difference that the coast is from here.

I haven’t been there for some amount of years; they tend to go by so much more quickly than they used to.

The sky view there is Very good, and it is out in the middle of nowhere, and there is that rains showdow thing.
