It was the warmest day of 2013 yesterday and today is even warmer.

It’s shorts time again!  White penny loafers and a Mt. Hood Timberline Lodge tee-shirt today and a stuffed pizza in the oven – life is good.

I went for a drive yesterday, a 40 mile round trip to get some 10% fat hamburger meat.  There’s a meat shop in Gresham who’s burger tastes much better than my local supermarket’s, and although the GPS gives me a different route as "the shortest", I prefer to go "my way" because that route is mostly on OR 224, which starts a mile south of here.  224 and 212 separate in Clackamas and I take 212 out through Damascus.  I turn onto 242nd Ave and go north east to Gresham and the store is right there.  I go that way because there are long stretches of 40 – 55 mph; cruise control time!

It was soo nice I had the sunroof (which I LOVE) open and had a nice cruise.  I had to laugh because although my car has a nine-speaker 458 watt sound system in it, I didn’t turn it on at all and just listened to the car and my thoughts – it was an excellent day.

So, this is 51.  Not as Special as 50 was – my former wife came from Japan for my birthday last year and was here for 21 days, but the weather is better this year.

The pizza just came out of the oven and is cooling off – it’s coffee time.
