In re: my work as a Life Skills Trainer
It is only a part-time job, but I like it and the work I do.
So do my superiors:
Outstanding notes Kurt and an outstanding way to deal with him. I am interested in being able to meet with him after my vacation and observe the same young man you see.
I feel your telling him up front about the potential for disappointment is very appropriate and sound. Many of our kiddos have unreal expectations and do not know how to handle the emotions they have when they realize just that. Great job in prompting him with reminders and cues.

As Dizzy Dean says on my diary’s Front Page, "It ain’t braggin’ if ya done it"
I’ve dealt with my own disappointment for… let’s just say "decades", and leave it at that, ok?
It’s all in your perspective.
Easier to write than to live, yes, but it’s getting easier to live as time goes by.

I AM in the right place, at the right time.
Finally.
Onwards!
