Huh. This one is actually sort of challenging.

Not so much because I have a bunch of dark secrets stashed away in my brain, but because I’m generally pretty open on here about what I think and feel about stuff, to the point where it’s gotten me in trouble with people in my personal life.

So, here goes. Stuff that I don’t believe I’ve mentioned before.

I love musicals. Not even I totally get this one. I’m not a HUGE fan of music, per se, in general. Sure, my collection of songs is huge, but I’m not one of those experts who obsess over what guitarist played what brand of guitar with what grade of string, and how their style fused a billion different genres into heavy metal polka. I’m pretty simple. I hear a song I like, I roll with it.

Add that with the fact that I am a writing nerd, and harp about continuity, realism within a work, etc, and I don’t even understand why I love this genre. My Fair Lady is one of my favorite movies of all time. I enjoy stuff like Grease, Singin’ in the Rain, Paint Your Wagon(Clint Eastwood and Lee Marvin… singing. Check it out), and a bunch of countless others I can’t even recall the names to. Once More, With Feeling is one of my favorite Buffy episodes, too.

But what can I say? I think the music is catchy, and in their own way, musicals are the strictest of continuities in movies. They set the rules. There has to be a conflict, usually a love conflict, and every time there’s a major push in the story, there has to be a musical number. Sometimes, I think real life could stand to learn some stuff from that.

Then again, maybe not. I REALLY can’t sing at all.

I almost never am wearing pants when I am at home. Pretty much self explanatory. Whenever I get home from somewhere, one of the first things I do is get out of my pants, and settle into a nice loose pair of shorts. 99% of the time when I’m at my house, I am wearing a pair of shorts, and a wife beater. Kind of white trash, I know, but that’s how I am.

It’s kind of funny, because I created a meme of sorts within my gaming community that I help run with my notoriety on this front. It’s been a running gag for almost a year now that if you’re playing games with me and wearing pants, you’re doing something terribly, terribly wrong. Me, I consider it a compliment. It creates a culture of laid back, no pretenses among our members, and that’s something I’m proud of.

One of my favorite friends took my most notorious quote, and even turned it into spanish for her roommate to post on the wall:

I love cosmic brownies. Little Debbie cosmic brownies, to be specific. They are truly my kryptonite. I’ve made a lot of leaps and bounds in my personal fitness level over the past year. That includes being a lot more strict about what I eat, and when I eat it. But if I see a cosmic brownie… I still gotta have it. ALWAYS. NOM NOM.

I think this is significant to me, because it’s basically a taste of nostalgia. When I was a kid, every day I would come home from school, and settle in front of the TV to watch the now legendary Batman: The Animated Series with my afternoon snack of… you guessed it. A cosmic brownie. So consequently, every time I eat one, it takes me back to those simpler times, before I had to worry about employment, and getting my writing seen by people, and so forth. It’s like a little delicious time machine in every bit.

Flux capacitor, eat your heart out.

I thought about posting some TMI stuff, but… nah. I think all 3 of these are stuff I’ve not mentioned before. Hopefully they were interesting, too. But either way, challenge met!

I love once more with feeling. You make me come…. plete!

I love musicals too. Even the really, really cheesy ones. Even the really, really corny ones. Even the really, really cheesy-corny ones! 😉 Ha…amateur… I almost never wear clothes at all when I’m at home (at least within the confines of my room, as I do share with home with family). I use to eat my weight in cosmic brownies… Not sure why I stopped eating them, but I haven’thad one in years… Perhaps I need to change that…
