Change

So I moved a couple of weeks ago. For the most part I’m enjoying it, I’ve only had a few minor melt downs (i.e. the great spider "infestation" I experienced on Night Two which led me to using 1/2 a can of Raid, turning on all the ceiling fans in my apartment and skipping out to Wal-Mart at midnight. I later figured out that all the spiders were already dead because my apartment had just been sprayed before I moved in.) Since gas is close to $3 a gallon it’s almost better that I live close to work and school now. So if you think about it, the amount of money I’ll be saving in gas will almost pay rent. But it wasn’t just the gas. It was the driving, the lost time and being so far away from work and school. Overall I’m having a blast. I have my own place and can enjoy my time more. I’ve had hundreds of opportunities that I never would have had if I still lived at home.

So besides moving, school started last week. That was one hell of a weekend when I moved on Friday and started school on Monday. Last week was a very hard one. This week is feeling much much better though. I’m only taking 12 hours this semester and I really like it. I think that I should try to do this for my two remaining semesters. I’m getting ready to start my new job at the radio station-I’m meeting with the station manager on Friday to discuss layout and design of the webpage. I’m starting to get pretty excited about it.

I bought a new camera on Monday for my photography class. Paying $300 for it was a little hard (which from what I understand is cheap in the world of photography,) but it’s a new Pentax that I plan on having for the rest of my life. I shot a whole roll of film in like 15 minutes just because I wanted to "play" with it.

That’s about it. I’ve been spending most of my free time working extra, getting started with school and unpacking/decorating my apartment.

It’s nice to know I’m not the only old-fashioned one who shoots with actualy film. 🙂
