“A Star Beyond The Night”

A sapling and the warm sun collide like two shooting stars at dawns break.

They gather together in the market of memories.

Limbs growing and intertwine while a whisper breaks in a silent world.

Like two flames in an endless night,  enraptured and mesmerized by the candle’s first flicker.

They become like two fireflies in the darkness of night.

Then a shadow created a wall between two flames.

The sun chased the horizon across the plains,

A tree far off in the distance.

The footsteps on the shoreline begin to fade.

The lights begin to dim in the distance.

But the star still shines, even after death.
