I'm here to give OD a chance, because it's had an enormous influence on helping me define who I am. He'll get a full year of pay out of me, because the revenue he receives from this IS what will make the site take off. Without that it will fail again. Sometimes you need to do what is best even when it's not what you want.

Insufficient nostalgia and sufficient incentive

I joined Open Diary in the summer of 2003, and I'm not feeling this revival. My friends aren't here anymore; the latency in loading parts of the site is the slowest of any site I've ever paid for and usually slower than any of the free sites I use; the layout is slick and modern…

I'm trying to take charge where I can with my work visa. I have lost confidence in my employer. We have just over 3 weeks to submit everything for my work visa renewal petition to both a third party agency to verify my recently-expanded-upon previous workplace employment verification letters, and...

My gf went for a manager promotion to fill the shoes of the business, most profitable position in the district that just came up, and after a number of interviews she was selected for the job. She’ll be getting to have every-other weekend with me, a work-life balance, and that means having actual...

I'm seeking an employment extension of 3 whole years, and I can expect to hear back in the next few week...

  • Putting on the pounds
    February 25, 2018
After being down to 199 lbs a year and a half ago or so I am at a record high of 245 lbs. Working in a place where you’re not appreciated and the long hours leave you drained apparently results in both stress eating and zero working out. Time to fix that, because I cannot…

She had dinner made when I walked in after work, worn out, with heavy cat litter and three dozen tins of cat food in my arms. She doesn’t make dinner much because I am the cook, but she knew of my increasing stress at work the last couple of weeks, and these two 12 hour…

Up at 5am and in bed before 9pm. Somewhere in there I made breakfast and supper from scratch and had an unexpected 13 hour work day plus I’m back at work for 6am tomorrow. Isn’t this one of the reasons why I left the army?
