Security

At what point in our lives do mirrors begin to matter.
There’s this gap, between our babyhood fascination with them…and our adolescent obsession.
For years we run around without concern – and then suddenly, assessing that image in the mirror becomes an integral part of our routine.
It’s strange how it seems these things must have been so gradual, but really, there must be a distinct point where things changed; one moment we are innocent, and the next we are grasping for security from a reflection.

I’ve actually been wondering this lately. Over the last few years I’ve went from throwing things on and leaving the house to HAVING to have my hair, makeup and clothes just right. :/
