Texas suffers real global climate consequences, blames non-existent regulations

For the last few years California has burst into flames like clockwork every summer. Yes, there are policies that could help somewhat but the fact is, we’re having warmer, drier summers, invasive species are killing our trees and our creaky electrical infrastructure has failed under the weight of this negligence. Now it’s Texas’ time in the fuck-barrel of global climate change and they’re blaming, of course, the non-existent Green New Deal. The very same Green New Deal that hasn’t been passed by house nor senate. So what, exactly happened? AOC tweeted the phrase Green New Deal and the Texas Republicans implemented all of her policies in Texas because of reasons and now they’re backfiring? Texas built its infrastructure. They’re blaming frozen windmills for their blackouts when the fact is it was frozen diesel pipes and the moisture in natural gas freezing up equipment that caused this to happen. And I’m not blaming Texas for not being prepared for Siberia like conditions. This is a consequence of global climate change. Hotter and drier in some areas, colder and wetter and others with the one constant being unpredictable swings and an over all average increase in global temperatures. It’s not rocket science.

But it’s so typical of Republicans to cast about to BLAME everyone else instead of looking in the mirror. The supposed party of personal responsibility says, lose an election? Blame cities (black people) for cheating. Don’t like the way your lies and scams are covered in the media, blame the press. Don’t want to accept your weight and height put you in the obese category, find a doctor who will add 3 inches to your height. And now the mayor of Dallas publishes a screed saying “only the strong will survive” taking blame for his failure off his shoulders and placing it on those of his constituents.
