Approved!!

Well my insurance approved my crowns… So I am scheduled to go in on the 2nd to get my cleaning done and they are going to do the crown prep on 5 of the crowns… I will be there for 3-4 hours they said… Then I go back 2 weeks after that to get my permanent crowns put in…

About a week after my crowns are done we are going to Oklahoma… We are heading down on March 24th and coming back on March 31st… We are going to scout several towns to better decide exactly where in Oklahoma we want to move to based on what we see, hear, and learn of the places…

When I return from Oklahoma I am going to get the rest of my crowns done… Well to be accurate my insurance approved 6 of the 8 crowns I need… They didn’t approve 2 of them cause those 2 teeth aren’t damaged enough for them to cover the crowns yet… But when they progress they will cover them… So all in all it was all good news… Even though I am nervous as hell about getting these crowns done…

It’s something about the dentist that puts me on edge… Nothing they do ever really hurts or anything… I just seem to have a lot of anxiety pop up whenever I think about going to the dentist… Does that happen to anyone else?!?

I have a lot of anxiety building up about this upcoming move as well… I don’t handle change very well… I was born and raised in Rockford, IL… Spent 30 years there… Then moved up here to Freeport (which is only 30 minutes away) 6 years ago… Which was weird to me just to be in a different town then my hometown… Now we’re getting ready to move 11 hours away to a totally different state… There is a lot of uncertainty in this move… None of us will have jobs so we will need to locate employment relatively quickly (except me I run my own business from home so I am pretty portal-able but I don’t make a lot of money)… We will need to find a place to live (that accepts animals) that is reasonable, re-apply for insurance, find new doctors, new dentists, and new schools… It’s just a lot of “new” and a hell of a lot of “unknown” which is hard to swallow for a control freak like me…

People keep telling me the weather can really suck on Oklahoma… I am less concern with weather then I am the constant decline of Illinois… It’s hella expensive living here… You damn near need 3 jobs just to live here… The taxes are hell… The people are assholes… There is next to no employment opportunities here (the little that there is are just dead end minimum wage shit jobs)… I truly hate this state… I have watched it grow progressively worse as time passes by… That is how we came to the moving to Oklahoma idea… We originally were going to move to Nebraska cause it’s A LOT cheaper then here… But then we realized the snow is WAY worse there… That is when my mother (who has traveled to MANY of the 50 states in this country) suggested we move to Oklahoma… She thinks we will love it there…

Guess we will find out soon enough…

awesome news about the crowns,

I’ve done a few big cross country moves myself, my best advice is to purge a lot before you leave, easier to move less things, start looking at jobs, living arrangements, doctors and stuff now, you’d be amazed what can happen when you put your feelers out,

have a lovely weekend!!!

I don’t think anyone likes going to the dentist. They are probably the most maligned healthcare practitioner. You’re in a career where nobody wants to see you and you’re the last place they want to come back to and it’s depressing.
