Oh Boy!
Pardon me, I MUST do a "why OD why?!!!" rant, if you don’t like rants, scroll down.

I realize it was probably a server issue, but uhhh, OD isn’t on the same server as Facebook and Twitter… and no updates on the server being down there.
My guess is that the powers that be weren’t paying attention and didn’t even notice. Oops!
The server for my website has gone down. And yes, I only have a little over 100 members, so it’s not that big of a deal to send out an email to let them know. BUT, I also update my Facebook page just in case. It just seems the right thing to do.
I dunno. Maybe I’m just fresh and new and monitoring my website is a novel idea for me. I’m not even making any money off of it! Maybe if I was making money I wouldn’t care so much.
*blink*
ANYWAY…
that’s enough for my rant. I didn’t lose anything (gonna download tonight tho!) and all is well.
So I went to the doctor yesterday for an ultra sound to screen for birth defects. Nugget did NOT want to move so they could get the picture they needed. They were shaking me and poking me (including poking with that damn vaginal ultra sound wand thing and it did NOT FEEL GOOD.) but Nugget was comfy and not moving. I have to go back next week for another.
I did get to see a good 15 minutes of my baby though, which was awesome. The Dr. said he could see the gender, he zeroed in on some bits… yes BITS.
So he called it as a BOY!!!!
A third boy.
No girl for me.
I mean, I’m holding a little hope, because it is so early so maybe it was something else (I can’t imagine what tho, lol) and I will be getting another ultra sound when I’m further along and maybe it’ll be different. lol. I have big dreams!
I am not mad about it, just sorta "sigh"… like… I wanted a girl SO BAD, but a boy will be wonderful.
I do get to try again so lets just hope and pray that I get a girl that time.
Because after that, I guess I’m out.
Baboo wants a vasectomy. I really hate that procedure though. So we’ll see. I don’t know!
anyway, we’re having a debate on the name. I am fighting to pick the middle name since he’s dead set on a little one named after him. That’s fine, that’s fine… lots of time left to choose, right?
what else, what else.
I don’t know. It’s Motuesday, I’m at work and I probably have a shit ton of crap to do that I’m ignoring. Oops!

Why do you hate vasectomies? Way easier on the guy to get that done than the woman to get her tubes tied. Yeah I was not impressed with the outage yesterday either. And there are still no updates, nice.

Ok, I’ll leave you with a little piece of info that may give you hope. I used to work at an ultrasound school. When I was preggos with my son, I went ALL the time to get ultrasounds (I’d let the students practice on me). I was happy b/c I saw my baby. Anyways, I was told the EARLIEST they look at gender is 17 weeks old & this is by someone who did ultrasounds for 20+ something years. Even at 17…

Even at 17 weeks, it can be hard to confirm. Which is why they normally wait until 18-20 weeks to officially confirm gender. So even if they saw “bits” let’s hope that was the umbilical cord or something. UNLESS they had a really super duper ultrasound machine, you still have hope! I have hope for you! I think your ticker says you’re almost 13 weeks. I know you’ll be over the moon either way.

ryn: I think that coconut sugar has a very low glycemic index. This is still being researched. It is claimed that it is at a very low 35, so technically your body should be OK with it, but if you have a better source, like websites your doctor or nurse might have given you, I’d check there because they should be more up to date and accurate. Stevia is also a good option, it has zero calories and avery low GI. Good to know your view point. I guess I’m different, I know I only want two children, that even that is pushing it for me and I’ll be happy to be done at 2. Hell I’m also not getting any younger, by the time I have my second I won’t be at an age where I should be considering a 3rd anyway.

Welcome to my club, heh. All boys all the time. It is so ok, honey. Eventually they will all be 15, and instead of patent leather shoes it is pleather mini skirts and shotguns. Be glad for your boy!

ryn: Actually that’s what I like about the sugar, it tastes nothing like coconut. I do like coconut but I wouldn’t want that flavour in my tea in the morning or in other stuff. It tastes like brown sugar but lighter. It doesn’t have the strong molasses taste. It also looks like brown sugar but it doesn’t stick together and clump as badly as brown sugar. It’s a really nice alternative.

That annoyed me too! I checked OD on facebook to see if they would update about the server issues and they didn’t. The jerks! I kept refreshing all day.
