How old will you be in five years?
69 which is the new 49!
How tall are you?
What are you looking forward to most in the next six weeks?
COOL WEATHER! I’m so over the hot, HUMID summer.
What’s the last movie you saw?
Hmmmm…haven’t been to a movie theater in at least 12 years and I usually watch series on Netflix…OH! Recently re-watched “The Godfather” and “The Godfather II.”
Are your parents together?
Biological parents, no; my mother and who I consider my “real father” – yes.
What color are your eyes?
Where would you go if you could go anywhere?
Do you tan or burn?
Tan; however, I make sure I stay covered in the hot FL sun so my skin is very fair.
What did you fear was going to get you at night as a child?
Sadly, my biological father. Not that he was going to get me but I feared more physical abuse toward my mother.
How many pillows do you sleep with?
One. Thinking of purchasing a “My Pillow.” Anyone have one? Is it worth it?
How many states/provinces have you lived in?
Do you prefer shoes, socks, or bare feet?
What is your favorite dessert?
Cheese cake – especially peanut butter or pumpkin
What is your favorite kind of soup?
Do you like coffee?
No – give me “cold caffeine”
What do you drink in the morning?
Errrr…Coke. (I know, I know – that’s what my doctor says as well!)
Do you like to cuddle?
Have you ever been to Canada?
Yes – as part of a vacation to Seattle. Former husband and I flew in a four-seater (!!!!) seaplane (in November windy/rainy weather (unsure if the plane would be cleared to fly which it did – sideways most of the time) to British Columbia. We shared a double-decker tour bus with one other couple (there’s a reason we preferred to travel in the Fall) and ended our time with high tea at The Empress Hotel before returning to Seattle on a shuttle boat.
Do you know anyone with the same birthday as you?
Yes, as well as having met many people with birthdays the day before and after. (My birthday is Dec. 24)
Do you want kids?
Have you ever ridden in an ambulance?
No but would like to do a “ride along” like some people do in police cars for various reasons.
Do you prefer an ocean or a pool?
As a former synchronized swimmer – I love the smell of chlorine…seriously. It brings back very fond memories. The ocean is an impossible place to swim – waves, salt in the eyes, etc. The irony is I only lived two miles from the ocean as a teenager and currently live about 35 minutes away but I can count on one hand the number of times I’ve been to the beach during that time span.
What do you dip a chicken nugget in?
Sweet and sour if I had to, but I don’t do chicken nuggets, I’m a Filet-O-Fish or Big Mac person. (I’m with DiaryMaster on this one.)
Have you ever run out of money?
Hasn’t everyone at one time or another?
What is your usual bedtime?
Ahhhh…the luxury of retirement – no bedtime. I’m nocturnal so I tend to sleep in the day, especially in the hot summers. Spain is doing this right: close businesses in the heat of the day, then re-open in the evening.
Do you read the newspaper?
What is this “newspaper” of which you speak?
What was the last note you scribbled on a piece of paper?
Notes that accompanied me to my doctor’s appointment yesterday.
When was the last time you attended church?
About four months ago.
What is the longest you have ever camped out in a tent?
Never! The closest “camping” I’ve ever done was a weekend ladies retreat about 35 years ago. It was at a site built for this purpose out in the woods somewhere an hour outside of Orlando. Slept on a bunk bed in a room that looked like where new army recruits sleep (only seen them in movies) along with about 20 other women, one of whom belched all night. If I turned over in bed (I was on the top bunk) it made the entire bed rattle so I tried not to turn over much, which caused me to want to do it more. The bathrooms were outside, down a long path and, naturally, one of my best friends had to go and wanted me to go with her…in the rain. Yeah, really not an “outside” person.
