Sometimes the best way to move forward is to start over. My whole life is a mess and I know it can be so much better. Therefore, with a little bit of hard work and some pixie dust of hope I am going to forgive myself and start again…

Hello! Welcome (back) to OD! One things to be advised of is that (if you hadn’t run across it before) there’s a 30 day free trial, after which it’s like $39.99 IIRC.
Writing here is therapeutic…but I’m sure you know that. We’re ALL a mess, and anyone who says they’re not is either lying to you or kidding themselves. Probably both. 😏

@tigerhawk Thanks! I didn’t realize it was a 30 day free trial. I will definitely have to make sure to take full advantage of it and see if its worth the price.
Ace stands for Asexual which is part of LGBTQ+ community.

Most people are too hard on themselves because those around them try to manipulate them to feel guilt for BS things. It is a rare person that does something unforgivable.

@devlinsdream I beat myself up for decades. All for nothing 😉
@skobru I find myself going through phases, sometimes I am unbelievable hard on myself and make everything seem so much harder than it sound be. Then other times I treat myself like I do other and remember we are all human and make mistakes that can be fixed.
@devlinsdream I worked with criminals including 1 murderer and they were all able to forgive themselves. Parents can be hard on kids and brain wash them into guilt crap. For years I still felt bad about the stupid things I did in high school! Can’t change it. F it, move on. LEARN from our F ups.
