i see snow

snow is falling, the first snow of the season for us.  our high for the day is 37.  tomorrow will be a bit colder, then back to the forties and fifties. the last few days has been in the mid 50’s, very nice.  this year has flown by and im not ready for winter or for christmas.

the place where we live now is in the middle of the daniel boone national forest.  its the most perfect place and where hubbys family came from.  we are on land that has been in his family for generations.  we have been here 3 years this fall.  before that we lived in a city in ohio, me for 33 years.  hubby longer.  i moved there when we got married.  before that i was born and raised in a small farming community.  it was always hubbys dream to come back to his home place and live and we finally made it.  the only drawback is im far away from my family.  i miss seeing the grandkids.  hubby has spent his life sacrificing everything for everyone else all his life, and it was past time for him to get his one dream, so here we are.

hubbys handicapped younger brother lives with us as well.  hubbys parents died before we got married and his brother has been with him ever since.  we love it here in these woods.  so quiet, so serene, so beautiful.
