Wind: W 10-15mph
Well, I was right. No snow overnight. Just some light rain until noon and then the skies cleared. Now, if I lived 75 miles further north, I would have been dumped with 7″ of the white stuff. Not that I would ever live north of the cities, but that’s a whole other essay.
Indoors, I watch the usual visitors to the feeders. The purple finches continue, so it wasn’t a fluke. I cannot figure out the goldfinches. Some days they are there in full force, other days none at all.
Our outing turned up nothing unusual except for this string of ice pearls adorning the spirea.
