Then & Now- Jack in the Pulpit

Temp: 65F DP 54

Wind: S 10-15mph

Sky: Sun, haze

Finally a dry day where my shoes didn’t get wet from the morning dew. It’s been weeks!

I walked around the property last evening after sunset and noticed a sugar maple was starting to turn. I’m not ready for summer to end. It goes by too quickly here in the north. Snapped this pic this morning.

Jack in the Pulpit this spring:

It took me a good half hour to locate one that survived the summer drought for a now picture. The turkeys and pheasants will get to the berries soon:

@queengloom Thanks for coming along on my walk. I hope you’ll carve out some time to take a walk every day and find some beauty around you. It truly helps in dealing with the big things. Nature is therapy.

I’ve never seen a jack-in-the-pulpit before although I’ve read of them.  It’s AMAZING!!

@novembercirese My parents had a jack in the pulpit hidden in their ferns, and as a child I loved looking at it and its different stages. I’m still fascinated by them.
