Dentist Complaints
I got the explanation of benefits in the mail the other day about the cavity I had filled. And the difference between what my insurance says I owe, and what I paid the dentist is like $45. I called the office and she said well it might be the sedative filling, because most insurances don’t cover that, so I didn’t even bother to submit it.
What if my insurance DID cover it? And my part really was only $67 for all of it? They’d either apply it to my account, or cut me a check for the amount I overpaid. But still, annoying to get the EOB in the mail and have it list $67 when I paid like $110!
EDIT-Called the dentists office and asked her to submit the sedative filling part to insurance. I told her from what I found on the Cigna website, its for a temporary filling, not for a lining, but the codes match, and it says my part would be 20%, which based on Cignas guess would be like $8. Hmmm…$44 or $8…wonder which I would rather pay. LOL
