Drama, baby.

Wooo…. Easter! I’m going with Dave’s family to his maternal grandmother’s house today. I have yet to meet that side of the family and based on what I’ve heard it’s likely going to be interesting.

Apparently Dave’s mom doesn’t get along very well with her family (and Dave’s mom is the nicest lady!). She hasn’t even spoken to them since Christmas (back story: the family did a gift exchange. Her "drama queen" sister got a gift that she didn’t like [bubble bath and lotions, supposedly], and instead of acting like an adult she apparently made it known to everybody that she didn’t like her gift, then retreated to another room and didn’t speak to anybody for the rest of the day. The grandmother sided with the aunt, which she apparently always does.).

So it should be interesting. I’m going to make every attempt to brush aside the things that I’ve been told about that side of the family by Dave’s immediate family. I’m excited to put faces with names. I like doing that.

Chloe is officially overdue! Her due date was yesterday. On Friday she went to the doctor and was told that Julian has not yet dropped but she is dialated. The doctor told her that it doesn’t look likely that Julian is going to move on his own. Because Chloe’s mom went two weeks over with all of her children, had massive babies (her last was almost twelve pounds!), and Chloe is getting extremely impatient and wants to have Julian now, the doctor went ahead and made an appointment for her to be induced on April 20th. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that she’ll go into labor on her own- inductions are notorious for being followed by more difficult births (and births with a greater number of interventions).

Brittany is going to come to town to see Julian on the weekend of May 2nd and 3rd. I think that I’ll be able to work out getting that weekend off, so I’m beyond excited. The three of us are going to have a ball with the new baby.

I desperately need to go grocery shopping. It’s too bad all of the grocery stores are closed!

ryn- thanks for your note. I actually think you’re right- he eats so quickly and that seems to make him much more sick. His diarrhea was short-lived, and we’ve established he doesn’t have a blockage yet after all, so we’re going to feed him small meals and see how he goes over the next few days.

i was induced , it SUCKED, but then i was induced because of problems, so i cant say being induced caused them. However, its mroe painful to be induced , becasue the contractions are forced

My husband’s aunt is the same way… she has no idea how to be subtle or just keep quiet about certain things… its a shame because it ruins events. Hope today was drama free!
