Drivel

So, I started my Creative Writing summer class yesterday, and I’m afraid I’m already getting a little addicted. I wrote about 1,000 words last night in my first attempts at a short story (or fiction of any sort), and I’m sorta satisfied with how it starts – for a first attempt at least. Not that I’m teasing myself with the idea that I’m a “writer” but I think I’m going to enjoy playing around with it for a month. At least until we get to poetry.

Also, I caught X-Men 3 today, and I still think it’s the best series to come out of the super-hero genre, though it’s all much too silly for me to be able to take seriously. Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem that the brigade from the genre is going to end anytime soon as I saw Ghost Rider and Superman trailers while I was there, neither of which looked particularly interesting, though I am a very big believer in “you can’t judge a movie by it’s trailer” so we’ll see.

Anyway, before the end of the month I might end up tossing a little of the aforementioned fiction in a favorites only entry, if I end up writing anything that I think is even worth throwing on here, however, if I do, there might be a slight favorites cut too. Either way, I won’t announce it, so you’ll never know if you get cut from being allowed to read, unless you go to the trouble to go thumbing through old entries. I’m sneaky like that.

Anyway, this entry was pretty pointless drivel. I’ll try to get back in the habit of delivering it more often again.

Hm, I wasn’t a fan of X-3. I loved my Creative Writing class… I don’t want to be a writer, but maybe someday I’ll put out a book or something.

You could judge Ultraviolet by it’s trailer. That movie looked like it would blow long and hard like a convicted felon, and guess what? It did. Or so I heard, because I judged it by the trailer and did not go see it. Or Aeon Flux. Gawd, how much money was wasted on those pieces of crap? Anyway. Yes, definitely post some of your fiction. I wanna read.

ryn: Hey, I didn’t say you COULDN’T judge a movie by it’s trailer, just that in some cases yes you can. You’ve seen those trailers. You know how crappy they looked.

I also saw X-Men 3 and quite enjoyed it. However, I disagree with you on the whole “you canÂ’t judge a movie by itÂ’s trailer”. Ghost Rider looks completely and utterly inane. Moronic. Laughable. Shall I go on? Even my 21 year-old brother who saw it at the same time that I did looked over and just shook his head… and he likes dumbass movies like those. -K P.S. The little “you have __

___ characters left” box doesn’t count down when I’m noting you, so I don’t know I’m out until it simply won’t let me type anymore. I think that’s another one up for Xanga, wouldn’t you agree? P.P.S You better be cheering for the Mavs to finish out the series tonight… otherwise… well, you don’t want to know what comes after “otherwise…”.

ryn: It made perfect sense.

RYN: I don’t really feel like it’s an online relationship since we talk so much on the phone. We just met online…

I agree about X-Men 3… Although I didn’t think too much of that installation compared to the other two. Not that I’m a comic-book/movie interpretation buff! Can’t wait to read your stuff, and I’d better! xx
