Downgrade…
And so it begins…
* no frills telephone service – saved twenty bucks a month
* downgraded cable tv – saved forty bucks a month
Hubby had a phone interview for a job in North Dakota. Ugh… No thanks!!!
They were offering a whopping $1800 per month. There are no rentals available in their town due to flooding. An added bonus ~ the winters temps have gotten as low as -100 with the wind chill.
You will notice now that you have downgraded that you probably didn’t use the stuff you downgraded much anyway, and if you did it was probably a time waster. When I got rid of our cable all together I didn’t even miss it, except now we don’t get normal channels without it so we have to have it. I like messaging on my phone so it will show me my credit card balances, but other then that. I am good. I hope your husband finds a job soon.

My father was raised in ND and my cousin way up near canandian border…now my cousin lives in Hawaii….So I can relate to your feelings of the cold! I do hope what ever brings in your life is good for 2010!

I believe there’s a whole lotta people downgrading these days. It’s amazing what we can do without. Eventually we won’t even miss it.

Thanks for your note! I downgraded on our phone bill last month and really should of done it sooner!I just kept putting it off. They actually charged us 5 bucks for doing so.But it was a one time fee so no real biggie.I don’t see why they charge it,they could lose my bussiness altogether! We also downgraded on our Dish TV.WE only miss like 2 channels so we can deal until things get better.

Now if I can just get through to processing for unemployment and get them straight on my extension,it will be a good month.I am owed 4 weeks. 1,8000 a month isn’t good money if you have to move.At least I don’t think so anyway. If it was all you could get then well you might of at least had to try it.But with no rentals…ickkk…CHEERS TO A BETTER 2010!!
