Road trip

Today I am making a small road trip to pick up this statue! I love it… old concrete one. I hope we can lift it up to load it…. fingers crossed

my neighbor got their first irrigation bill yesterday. Last year they did not turn it on as they moved in late summer. Their yard is basically all weeds do they have just been watering weeds…

for a month they have been running it every single day and a few evenings… weeds will never look like grass no matter how much water you give them!

i was sitting on my porch swing last night when he went to the mailbox…. he opened up the water bill and began cussing and screaming at his wife…. he walked over to the porch and asked me what our water bill was… I said water or irrigation? He then got really upset! Saying you mean we also get a water bill!!!

his irrigation bill was 1000 and change!  He must have ran it a lot more than we did

he said he was going to rip the Mf out of his yard…. I told him unless he turns it off he will still be charged 65.00 a month even if you use no water…. he was not happy

I think people here pay for their water once a year and I don’t think it’s more then 200.00 and the irrigation we don’t have because our properties are not that big. And we also have water restrictions .

How is Jo doing? Did the surgery go well?

Our water bills are high here too in parts of Arizona. Our town started out as a sleepy little rural area and then grew quickly into a full-fledged city. Unfortunately, our water company was not prepared for the growth resulting in passing the cost of upgrading to the consumer.

Can’t wait to see the statue. I love all the unique treasures that you find.

Take care, Kat

$1,000 is a lot of money for an irrigation bill. That’s rent in some places! I guess it serves them right, though, for running the sprinklers so much.

Can’t wait to see the statue.
