Just read this. I applaud Chapman’s for giving a raise to their employees at the start of the pandemic. I mean I have been working in an IT business for just over 6 years now and my raises have been rather slight every year, but anyway since the pandemic really started in South Africa March last year we haven’t gotten any raises or any kind of relief for all the price increases that are going on in this country.
My husband refuses to get vaccinated, and I think that is both selfish and stupid of him. Thank fully I have been vaccinated. I don’t get why people are boycotting getting vaccinated. I am sure by now everyone has either had covid or had someone close to them suffer it if not succumb to it, so I don’t understand why they are objecting to taking something that will help you fight it.

@lovelymariquita – I cannot give you a fair answer. I don’t understand the logic to not wanting to get vaxxed. I agree it is being selfish not wanting to get vaxxed. But I do also think it is wrong for businesses to fire the employees that don’t want to get vaxxed. Cyril, our President, went on the news the other day to say that whoever chooses not to get vaxxed will not be restricted from public events and travelling etc…I think that is a wrong statement for him to say when many countries’ borders have closed to those that are not vaxxed and how there are restrictions.
@ncumisa Hmm… here in Canada if you aren’t vaxxed then you are non persona grata y’know?
